The Penny Power Project has expanded into three counties across Northern New Jersey: Essex County, Union County, and Morris County. We are exploring other locations across New Jersey, like Berkeley Heights, Cedar Grove, Summit, and other local towns.

Past Location across New Jersey:
Maplewood Public Library:
This program was offered at the Maplewood Public Library in Maplewood, NJ. We presented to a variety of students, ranging from 2nd graders to 6th graders. This program lasted for 4 weeks, and the students learned about credit cards, the functions of loans, savings, investing, diversification, and other important principles.
Hillside Public Library:
This program was offered at the Hillside Public Library in Hillside, New Jersey. This program was a one-off presentation for 3rd to 5th graders in the local area. In this program, we focused on defining money, learning about its history, and students examined money from a variety of countries (Japan, South Africa, Argentina, Great Britain, Thailand, etc.)
Roseland Free Public Library:
This program was offered at the Roseland Free Public Library in Roseland, New Jersey. The program primarily hosted early middle schoolers, but the program was open to 5th-12th graders. In this program, students learned about the history of money, investing, budgeting, and saving, and the different ways of interest.
Chatham Free Public Library:
This program was offered at the Library of the Chathams in Chatham, New Jersey. The program hosted a bright group of young elementary school kids, ranging from 3rd graders to 5th graders. In this program, we focused on learning about budgeting, saving, wants vs. needs, and basic investing principles like risk vs. reward.
Union Public Library:
This program was offered at the Union Free Public Library in Union, New Jersey. The program hosted a bright group of young elementary school kids, ranging from 3rd graders to 5th graders. In this program, we focused special attention on loans, investments, Roth vs. Traditional IRAs, savings, and how to build credit!
